Trauma Trap: How to Recognize It. How to Escape It.

A Survival Guide For Survivors – by Cheryl-Lee Sager

Cheryl-Lee Sager is a True Survivor. She has lived quite a life. She was born into her father’s alcoholism, narcissism, racism, homophobia and subsequent abuse. She left home at just 14 years of age and bounced from challenge to challenge. She would go on to marry her husband, have two children with him, but leave and divorce him at age 29.

After her divorce she would finally embrace her true sexuality and raise 2 small children as a single lesbian mother for much of her life. All while, acquiring her degree in Psychology and launching an initially successful  career in finance.

She lost her mother and best friend when she was only 39, her mom was just 58 when she passed away, then her 17-year-old son passed away, and a second divorce from her wife, all within 3 years of each other. She has struggled and failed and struggled some more. But through her years of experience and acquired education, she finally succeeded in Escaping her Trauma Traps.

She has now written this book to try to help you do the same thing. Whether you yourself are ‘Trapped’ or you know, or love, someone who is, there is something for everyone in this book!

More about trauma, stress, and addiction.

Here is a brief synopsis:

You may be asking yourself right now “If I am a Survivor, why do I need a Survival Guide?”

Good question. The answer to that question lies within more questions that you need to ask yourself and answer with honesty.

  • Are you truly happy?
  • No matter what you have Survived are you living your life to its fullest potential?
  • Are you doing things that you really want to do, that make YOU truly happy?

Or is Life Still Getting in Your Way?

  • Are you still unhappy or feeling challenged at every turn?
  • Are you feeling lost or without purpose?
  • Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, low self worth, failed relationships or even addiction?

If your answer is yes to any or all of these questions. Then you are still struggling with the residual effects of whatever it is that you have survived.  You are still Trapped in your Trauma. You are not a true Survivor until you have Escaped your Trauma Trap.
